Kingdom of God part 5

Matthew 13:44-46 (NIV)
The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Things to grasp here:
1-the Kingdom of Heaven is something you find. When you stumble on it, you recognise that you have found something quite special…
2-so, you find it, and then you bury and conceal it so that you can come back and get it, otherwise someone else might take claim to it. so, you realise that when you found it, it was on someone else’s land, and that they might have actual title to it, not you… Kind of like oil and mineral rights… So, you might have to hide your real intention about what you are doing when you discover the truth of the Spirit…
3-so, knowing right where it is, you go and sell everything to buy that land so that you can claim it and dig it up, and own it…

45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Things to grasp here:
1-Merchants who look for fine pearls are pearl buyers.
2-As such, they know the difference between a good one and a bad one
3-they are on the lookout all the time for some really good ones
4-when they find one that is so outrageously good, they sell all buy it. Partly because they love their work so much that they just want to have it, and probably partly because they know a buyer who will pay them an amazing amount of money for it…
