Drifting Away…

I was looking at Hebrews chapter 2 a few days ago, and just really noticed that right at the beginning it says: (NIV) We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away…

The book of Hebrews has all sorts of pithy important things to say, and has many oft quoted verses, but this is probably the most important issue for the Christian Church today: drifting away…  The fire grows dim, the activity become de rigeur, it all becomes same-old same-old stuff.  Could it be that be that we just never really got the basics of being disciples and being discipled???

Hard to understand why so few churches pay it any attention at all amongst all that drifting away…
